A tribute to our local stonemasons…

It seemed fitting to call our Pink Granite Gin ‘The Stonemason’ as a tribute to our talented local stonemasons throughout the Channel Islands who are dedicated to restoring the past and building the future using our traditional building materials formed millions of years ago. Our granite is made up of large crystals of three main minerals - mica, feldspar and quartz and it is the molecular make up of this stone found in the Channel Islands that makes it the perfect building material.

Having already established a working relationship with a local Jersey firm during our extensive renovations of Dunell’s at Beaumont, we were keen to meet up and photograph the stonemasons in action. We were delighted that Chris Le Guyader of C & M Le Guyader Stonemasons Ltd allowed us exclusive access to their granite yard in Jersey to document them ‘dressing’ the granite. Huge thanks to Chris, Matt and their team for their time and inspiration throughout. Here is a little about their business…
